Callisto Tenko (EikaForge) Agatha Parade Ground - Amidst the Heretics
Callisto's sisters are still in a defensive position around the Inquisitor - around them are the scattered bodies of a number of heretics, but they still stand strong, boltguns smoking in the aftermath of the battle. The squad's Superior, Sister Georgene, bows to the Celestine as she approaches. "My lady, we have defended the Inquisitor; she lives, although she is in critical condition and requires assistance we cannot offer." Actions: Callisto may act freely. Callisto cast her gaze about the field, looking for one of the Holy Angels that had blessed the battlefield with their presence. She spotted one in blue with green embellishments. "I will seek aid for her, hold your position." She knew those markings from the Third War for Armageddon, the Salamanders. She marched over to his location, moving through the guardsmen fortifying their position. "Hail Marine, do you have an Apothecary in your company? I require one to tend to an Inquisitor's wounds."

Ramón found the suppressing fire around him had started to fade, but as he turned to face the other nest, he found emptiness before him. In terror, the surviving heretics were fleeing the stubber nest, abandoning their weapons in hope of salvaging their treasonous lives. With the stubbers now silenced, there was no more threat to the men below. Heavy Stubbers: Both heavy stubbers are now unclaimed as the heretics have fled in fear, removing them as a battlefield threat pending Ramón's decision towards their fate. (+1 Victory Progress)Actions: Ramón may act freely (whether to re-engage in combat or something else). As tempted as Ramón was to open fire on the heretics below, he could tell that, with them retreating into the building, that the tactical value of his current position was rapidly falling and it would be more wise to return to the group. Before that, however, he decided to check the area for any more weapons... He decided to take a minute to package and strap the weapons onto himself before readying for take off. Still, Ramón was concerned with the extra weight, and the effect it might have on steering. Should he take his time in returning to the group and make a less risky trajectory, or should he prioritize speed, even if it would jeopardize his package mid-air? "What does the Codex say...?" "... I sound like an Ultramarine. Frak." Deciding to follow his better judgement, he took a more conservative trajectory. All around, the Guardsmen cheered with their newfound victory. Those nearer to Xavier looked in awe, many praising the Emperor or whispering thanks to the Librarian for saving them. The heretics were now all slain or had fled from the front lines, unable to resist the turning tide that the Astartes or Sororitas had offered. Moments later, the Celestine Sister of Battle Callisto Tenko marche past Xavier, towards her fellow sisters. Xavier can't help but notice that the strange sensations he's been feeling in the warp are stronger from that direction than they were anywhere else. Actions: Xavier may act freely. Xavier nodded to the Guardsmen, putting his gauntlet on their shoulders gently as he joined in their praises to the Emperor, sharing in the joy of victory but knowing that it was likely fleeting. He frowned inside his helm, brow furrowed as he watched the Sister of Battle of battle join her sisters and the chill ran down his spine. Slowly he pondered potential meanings, none of them to his liking, and was about to set out towards the group of sisters when one of them approached him. "Salutations Sister. There are none of my Chapter but I remember..." StevetheERB .roll 1d100 vs 39 LadyLuck StevetheERB: 1d100 vs 39: 2, Success by 37 He turned to scan the battlefield and as if guided by the hand of the Emperor the smoke parted at just the right moment to reveal the white armor of the Apothecary working amongst the ruins of the Thunderhawks. "Yes. There. I shall contact him on the Vox." "This is Brother-Lexicanium Xavier Judicious Delibero, requesting Apothecary support at the eastern end of the defensive line. We have a wounded Inquisitor. Moving to their location now." He turned back to the Sister as he waited for the reply. "I have contacted him. Please escort me to the Inquisitor. I am no Apothecary but I would be honored to assist and provide additional security should any remaining traitors attempt a sneak attack." Secretly of course he wanted to get closer to the strange emanations he's been sensing, which the Inquisitor seemed to be part of for some reason...

The multilasers' shots are wide of doing any significant damage, but the stubber nests have now gone silent and the heretics seem to be in full retreat. For his part, the situation seems stabilized on the front - albeit still tenuous. There are no longer any valid targets within the arc of fire of the Chimeras, which silently hunt for prey from their position on the line. Actions: Theodoros Ikarion may act freely. Brother Theodoros Ikarion - APC Auster
Seeing the battle quiet down, and the return of the Astartes who'd gone into the nest, Theodoros calls off the suppressing fire with a short command. He climbed down from the turret, gesturing the soldier who'd held it before to return to his position. "Hold this position until further order," he voiced over the Imperial vox channel. There was no saying what lay beyond the end of the street, and it was too much of a risk to move forces into the open passage of the main road. He knew the Chimaera's spirits would be eager to protect their occupants and destroy more heretic forces, but risking them to open fire and the Emperor only knows what that was in the streets out of their range... No. He nodded to the troopers and left the vehicle. It was time to see of someone had managed to set up a central command point. From the contact on the Astartes vox lines, the Inquisitor was at least alive, if damaged. With some repairs, they should be able to lead the troops again soon.

"This is Brother-Lexicanium Xavier Judicious Delibero, requesting Apothecary support at the eastern end of the defensive line. We have a wounded Inquisitor. Moving to their location now." Iman Ennulus (DigitalSocrates): Crashed Thunderhawk 'Solidity of Faith'
Hrm, Inquisitors. As if they didn't have enough to worry about. "Brother Iman Ennulus, Scions of Mars Chapter Apothecary reporting. Requesting clarification on Inquisitor wound severity: critical or otherwise?" The sounds of stubber and chimaera fire had dissipated, so it seemed that the heaviest parts of the fighting were over. Ennulus wondered if his earlier vox had been heeded at all, or if those three space marines remained unguarded at the shrine. "Also requesting clarification on effective Chain of Command." There was no point in calling for action from someone not in charge, and there was a great deal to do with the two Thunderhawks before the fire consumed all salvageable equipment. Ennulus stepped out of the ship towards the living space marines he had excavated from the wreckage. He grabbed two of them by the leg and started dragging them towards the shrine with the others. He would abandon his current task only if the Inquisitor's condition was critical, if other men were dispatched to take over his current duties, or if an acceptable superior ordered him to.

NPC Actions (All Players)
The Heretics are in full retreat and the Astartes are now unable to directly see any of the traitor units. It is likely they will return, but for now you have a chance to catch your breath, get organized and possibly strike back. The Imperial Guard are busy organizing themselves and rebuilding the defense. Ammo and weapons are being stripped from the dead and the wounded are being withdrawn from the front lines, while the officers attempt to rebuild their command structure and figure out a plan. While you're outnumbered and in a bad situation, there are still a few hundred guardsmen in the square who are in fighting shape, however the Astartes might want to make use of them. Lucian Sanguineus (Ilya) Hydroponics Lab "Garden Tower"
Lucian checks the room for signs of an egress, and soon finds a vacant doorway on the west wall of the room, nestled in darkness. The door appears to have been broken or torn away from the edges. The room beyond is very dark, but he can see the telltale signs of light peeking around the corner of heavy drapes over the windows - his sense of navigation and the layout of the room suggests the balcony he is looking for is here. Iman Ennulus (DigitalSocrates) Crashed Thunderhawk 'Solidity of Faith'
A quick glance towards the shrine would tell Iman Ennulus that at least some Guardsmen have congregated around the area. The south end of the square is rapidly being converted into a sort of temporary command post for the Imperial battalion, and while there are no Astartes in the area, it is likely they will be well-protected for the time being by the presence of the guardsmen there.

Zacharius surveyed the battlefield as the hail of bullets around him lessened. The gun nests had ceased firing, and the nearby defenders had moved forward, using the shift in momentum to push back the heretics. His own presence, largely unnoticed to begin with, had been completely overshadowed by the Chaplain's heroic charge.
Now is the time to make myself scarce. After all, time was of the essence, and he could not afford to waste any more of his strength in this battle. The bullet nestled close to his second heart sent a twinge of pain through his body with every movement, serving as a reminder of his own foolishness.
Zacharius suspected that the owners of the mysterious footprints found earlier would be long gone by now, and made to follow the path they had taken out of the square.

Xavier frowned. The Sister had not mentioned the severity of the Inquisitor's wounds and he knew that there were plenty of other wounded to attend to. However the Inquisitor did seem to be a focal point for the strange warp energies he was seeing. Still, he was not going to lie...
"Inquisitor wound severity unknown but will verify. However, believe Inquisitor may have critical intelligence regarding situation on Cyclonus"
...but he might obfuscate a little until he was sure of his facts. Meanwhile he turned to the Sister of Battle.
"How severe are the Inquisitor's wounds?"

Making it past the range of the heretics and into friendly territory around the injured inquisitor, Ramón touched down as the roar of his jets slowed died.
"How is every doing? I brought gifts from the heretics!" Ramón lifted up to show the sack of weapons he carried from the destroyed stubber nest, "they weren't so enthusiastic about me coming over to pick them up, though."

Tenko turned away from the marine and begin to trudge back. She could hear her heart pounding, and not from the fighting she had done moments before. Ordering, not requesting, a Space Marine to assist her was something she would have never had the courage or faith to do before Armageddon, but it still raised her pulse and frayed her nerves.

Lovely.Ennulus frowned as Xavier passed on the information. "Apothecary en route to barricade. Eta two minutes. Requesting transport for five stabilized but unconscious Astartes to command tent. Also requesting salvage teams to either thunderhawk before fire consumes all useful equipement." Ennulus left the two Astartes where they were and started heading at full speed towards the front line.

Lucian SanguineusHydroponics Lab "Garden Tower"Lucian soon found the way onward - a dark, ominous looking doorway. His instincts told him two things about this doorway and the dark room beyond: one, that room held the access to the balcony; and two, the darkness in the room, made possible by the heavy drapes over the windows - in a building where he had encountered no other drapes at all - was no coincidence. Combined with the signs of struggle in the room he was currently in, the entire situation screamed danger to him. He made his way toward the open doorway as silently as he could, and peered into the darkness, hoping to discover the potential enemy before he was spotted. Iman Ennulus (DigitalSocrates) - Front Line
Ennulus arrives at the Inquisitor's position and begins his examination.
Ennulus gets to work, sealing open wounds and burns with gel. He injects her with a cocktail of drugs to keep her organs functioning.
"She likely has internal injuries, and recovery will be long. I will need a stretcher to move her."
